The Innisfree Wheelers Queen Maeve Women’s Sportive Charity Event will be held on August 31st, 2024, with all proceeds going towards our North West branch.

This is a cycling event for women will take in two great routes; a 50km route and the more challenging 80km distance. Both routes will pass along mostly quiet country roads while exploring the majestic natural beauty of Sligo, Roscommon and Leitrim. Both routes begin at the Mercy College, Chapel hill, Sligo F91CF80.

The 80km route passes through Sooey, Ballyfarnon and Keadue at which point the cyclists will arrive at the food stop at St Ronan’s Hall. Cyclists then continue to Mount Allen, along the shore of beautiful Lough Allen to Drumkeerin and into picturesque Dromahair.

The 50km route follows the same roads as far as Sooey but veers left towards Ballintogher and on to Dromahair with a food stop there at the Blue Devon. Both routes join here in Dromahair and continue along the Sligo Road passing the stately Parkes Castle taking in beautiful views of Lough Gill and the majestic Queen Maeve Cairn in the distance leading back to Sligo.
