News

The Monaghan branch of Parkinsons Ireland was officially formed in October 2024. With growing numbers of people affected by Parkinsons in the local area there was a real need for support closeby . There is currently a weekly meeting every Tuesday at 2.30pm at Peak Fitness Carrickmacross whereby participants take part in Boxercise and Gym exercise for 1 hour. The group is steadily growing and participants have already seen the benefits that exercise gives. The intention is to grow this group for the whole county and surrounding areas.  As the branch gets established there will be a number of events over the coming months to raise awareness and support for those who are affected with Parkinsons.
