Do you have a relative or friend with Parkinson’s Disease, who would like to chat to other people with the condition or who would like to obtain more information?

Or perhaps you would like to volunteer and get involved with some of our activities?

Chairperson Marie Cahill

There is great turn out for their Physiotherapy classes in Galway City, Athenry, Tuam, Ballinasloe, Bearna and Clifden. They are of huge benefit to our members.

The branch are delighted to be working with HSE Doughiska in providing classes on a monthly basis to members. Each month, a different speaker comes along with the Speech Therapist to give a talk to the group.

There are also Chair Set Dance classes with Pat O’Dea, which are the highlight of the week for many members, carers and spouses. Everyone enjoys these classes and more importantly meeting up and having a chat and cuppa after the class. These classes are currently running in Galway City and Tuam, with numbers growing each week.

Jimmy also has all those taking part in the Chair Yoga via Zoom each Tuesday, with all members, carers and spouses enjoying the class and chats.
