Highlights from the World Parkinson’s Congress 2023.

The World Parkinson’s Congress took place in Barcelona in July 2023.

The Congress brought together physicians, neuroscientists, a broad range of other health professionals, care partners, and people with Parkinson’s for a unique and inspiring experience.

The wide ranging programme included the latest research and developments in Parkinson’s treatments and care, as well as the experiences of people living with Parkinson’s.

Richelle Flanagan from Ireland picked up the WPC Robin Elliott Award for Distinguished Contribution to the Parkinson Community for 2023.

” I am absolutely honoured & humbled to be a recipient of the WPC Robin Elliott Award for Distinguished Contribution to the Parkinson Community for 2023. I like many pwp & others working in PD globally want to see better outcomes for us all & I truly believe things can improve.” Richelle Flanagan.

Galway man Raymond Feeney who is living in Peru with his wife Ana Maria. Raymond was awarded the People’s Choice Award for the video he made “Ray of Hope, a Story from Peru” You can view Raymond’s touching & hopeful video which we recommend you to watch HERE

It was smiles all round meeting up with Frank & Assumpta Lynch at the World Parkinson Congress. Frank has joined the PAI board of management as a patient representative.
