Yong Onset Parkinson’s Disease Conference 2025

Parkinson’s Ireland was delighted to host a successful inaugural Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease conference in the Marine Hotel, Sutton last Saturday. There were over 40 participants who enjoyed various workshops including very informative sessions on Living with YOPD from Dr. Anhar Hassan, and on Parkinson’s Research by Dr. Niamh Connolly.

Participants also took part in a number of fun and active sessions, such as a Tai Chi class with Vanessa Costigan, a Physiotherapist Session with Gráinne McKeown, and ended the day with some singing with Dara MacMahon. 

Parkinson’s Ireland would like to extend a massive thank you to all who made the event possible, including the speakers and facilitators, Kieran Connolly from the YPI Branch, Phil Twomey from the Dublin Branch, and the Marine Hotel for facilitating the day and providing food and drink.
