Parkinson’s Ireland Shortlisted for Three Prestigious Irish Healthcare Awards

We are delighted to announce that Parkinson’s Ireland has been shortlisted in not one, but three categories at the Irish Healthcare Awards 2025 – a testament to the work of our team, volunteers, and supporters nationwide.

The categories we have been recognised in are:

  • Patient Service Initiative of the Yearfor our Newly Diagnosed Programme, which offers vital support, resources, and guidance to individuals in the early stages of their Parkinson’s journey.
  • Patient Advocacy Project of the Yearfor Different for Everyone, a campaign that raises awareness of the diverse experiences of people living with Parkinson’s.
  • Public Health Initiative of the Yearfor our Community-based Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist Service, which brings expert care and advice directly to those affected.

These nominations are a wonderful recognition of the dedication and innovation shown across our organisation. They reflect the countless hours invested by our volunteers, the expertise of our team, and the support of our community and partners.

Whether it’s creating tailored programmes for newly diagnosed individuals, advocating for the rights and needs of those living with Parkinson’s, or expanding access to specialist nursing care, these initiatives have one goal in common: to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s across Ireland.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone who has contributed to making these projects a success. Being recognised alongside so many outstanding healthcare organisations is an honour in itself – and we look forward to celebrating the winners at the Irish Healthcare Awards ceremony.
