Joe Lacy Cycles Through the Algarve to Raise Funds and Awareness for Parkinson’s Ireland

Joe Lacy, who recently celebrated his 70th birthday and is living with Parkinson’s, has completed a marathon distance cycling challenge through the Algarve in Portugal to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s Ireland.

Originally from Moyglass and now living in Quarteira in the Algarve, Joe cycled 26 miles over the same weekend as the London Marathon, marking the occasion in his own way having previously completed the marathon three times as a runner.

The route took Joe along country roads, coastal paths and farmland trails across the Algarve.
