Parkinson's Ireland Cork Branch invites you to attend our next Information meeting on Sunday 8th…

Cork Branch Information Meeting – Sunday, 16 November 2025
The Cork Branch is delighted to announce our second Information Meeting of the year, taking place on Sunday, 16 November 2025, from 2.30pm to 5.00pm at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, Victoria Cross, Cork (T12 CA34).
Please note that entry is via the door to the left side of the building adjoining the Church.
This event promises to be both informative and inspiring, bringing together expert insights and personal experiences to support those living with Parkinson’s, their families, and carers.
Guest Speakers

Our first guest speaker will be Annmarie O’Connor, Parkinson’s advocate and author of Twitch – My Life with Parkinson’s. Annmarie will read from her new book and share her own lived experience of Parkinson’s with warmth, honesty, and humour. Her story offers a deeply personal perspective on navigating life with the condition, and we’re sure attendees will find her words both relatable and uplifting.

We are also delighted to welcome Dr Emma Gleeson, Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at University College Cork (UCC). Dr Gleeson will discuss current research projects and therapies aimed at improving communication for people with Parkinson’s. Her talk will shed light on new developments in speech and language interventions, offering practical insights and hope for those managing communication challenges associated with the condition.
Tea and Coffee Break
There will be a tea and coffee break midway through the meeting, providing an opportunity for attendees to relax, chat, and connect with others in the Parkinson’s community. It’s a lovely chance to share experiences, ask questions, and enjoy a friendly afternoon together.
