Branch Activities

Physiotherapy

Location: Physio Eireann, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal
When: Every Monday, 1.00pm to 1.45pm

Join our weekly physiotherapy session designed to support mobility, strength, balance and overall physical wellbeing for people living with Parkinson’s.

Fitness Class

Location: Inish Fitness, Buncrana, Co. Donegal
When: Every Wednesday at 2.15pm

A supportive exercise session designed to help people living with Parkinson’s stay active and maintain strength, mobility and fitness.

Exercise Class

Location: No Barriers, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal
When: Wednesdays, 11.00am to 12.00pm

A weekly exercise session focusing on movement, mobility, strength and overall wellbeing.

When: Thursdays, 3.00pm to 4.00pm

A second weekly session is also available on Thursday afternoons.

Yoga Class

Location: Hot Fox Studio, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal
When: Every Monday, 3.00pm to 4.00pm

Enjoy a gentle and supportive yoga class designed to improve flexibility, balance, mobility and relaxation.

Fitness Class

Location: Fitness4All, Sligo
When: Every Tuesday, 2.00pm to 3.30pm

A weekly fitness class designed to support strength, mobility, balance and overall wellbeing.

When: Every Thursday, 11.30am to 12.30pm

An additional weekly Fitness4All session takes place on Thursday mornings.

Sligo Choir

Location: Fitness4All, Sligo
When: Every Thursday, 1.00pm to 2.00pm

Join the Sligo Choir for an enjoyable and social singing session. Singing can support breathing, voice strength and confidence while providing a great opportunity to connect with others.

Doe Amateur Swim Group held their New Years Day Swim and all proceeds were given to the North West Branch. 

Committee members Ann Foxe and Jimmy attended the presentation night and received €11,345.60. The committee are very grateful for this very generous donation. 

A special word of thanks to Bernice Alcorn and Judith McKinley for all their hard work in ensuring this event was such a huge success. Thank you to Doe Amateur Swim Group for choosing the branch as the beneficiary of this event and for all the work they did before, during and after the event. We also congratulate all the swimmers who braved the cold weather to participate in the Swim. Well done to all!

Our member Mary (Mai) Friel donated €1650 to the branch recently. Mary accepted cash in lieu of Christmas presents from her family and friends. This was a very kind gesture by Mary. We are very grateful to her.

The Donegal Golf Society in London selected our branch to receive money from their Annual golf event. We received £2,000stg from them this week. We really appreciate their generosity. 

The Retired Teachers in Sligo donated €870 to the branch. They held at Christmas Raffle as their fundraiser. Our Chairperson, Kathleen Kennedy accepted the money on our behalf. A sincere thank you to them.

The generosity of all the above is amazing and these contributions help us provide services to our members throughout the year.
