Medication on Time, Every Time Pack
Earlier this year, Parkinson’s Ireland’s Every Minute Matters campaign highlighted an important message for people living with Parkinson’s and their families: medication timing matters.
Taking Parkinson’s medication at the prescribed time is an important part of managing symptoms and supporting independence and everyday activities. For many people, medication is a carefully planned part of their daily routine, with support from family members, care partners and others involved in their care.
Yet people with Parkinson’s can still find themselves having to explain why receiving their medication on time is so important, particularly when attending appointments or being admitted to hospital.
To help raise awareness and support people in managing and communicating their medication needs, Parkinson’s Ireland has developed the Medication on Time, Every Time Pack.
The pack contains a range of practical resources that can be used at home, in the community, at healthcare appointments and during hospital admissions.
What’s included in the pack?
A5 Information Booklet
The booklet explains why medication timing is important for people with Parkinson’s and provides practical information for people with Parkinson’s, family members and care partners.
It can be kept at home as a useful reference and shared with anyone involved in supporting a person’s care.
Fridge Magnet
The fridge is often at the centre of the home, making it an ideal place for a daily reminder.
The magnet helps keep the importance of medication timing visible and front of mind for people with Parkinson’s and those supporting them.
Keyring
The keyring carries the Every Minute Matters message wherever you go.
It can be attached to your keys or used as a trolley token, providing a simple everyday reminder and an opportunity to raise awareness and start conversations about Parkinson’s.
Medication Time Reminder
This freestanding reminder card can be personalised with your medication times and displayed somewhere visible at home or during a hospital stay.
It provides a practical visual prompt for people with Parkinson’s, care partners and healthcare professionals, helping to keep medication schedules visible and reinforce the importance of taking medication at the prescribed time.
Hospital Admission Information Sheet
The Hospital Admission Information Sheet is designed to be used during both planned and unplanned hospital admissions.
It contains important information about Parkinson’s medication and medication timing and can be shared with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
We encourage people with Parkinson’s and their families to keep the information sheet somewhere accessible so it can be brought with them if they need to go to hospital.
Alert Card
The Alert Card is designed to be carried with you.
It provides important information about Parkinson’s and medication needs in a quick and accessible format. It can be useful when attending appointments, accessing healthcare services or travelling.
If you are going into hospital
Several resources in the pack can be particularly useful during a hospital stay.
If you are admitted to hospital, bringing your Alert Card, A5 Information Booklet and Hospital Admission Information Sheet can help communicate your medication schedule and the importance of receiving Parkinson’s medication at the prescribed times.
Family members and care partners can also use these resources to support conversations with healthcare professionals and advocate alongside the person with Parkinson’s when needed.

It is about helping people with Parkinson’s feel informed and confident about their medication needs, and giving them practical tools to communicate those needs to others.
