Parkinson’s Ireland Attends PD Life Launch

Our CEO Shane O’Brien attended the PD Life kick-off Meeting at University College Cork last week week alongside Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist Lisa Wynne and Cork Branch Chairperson Jerome Maume.

PD-Life is an all Ireland initiative focused on improving the lives of people living with Parkinson’s through integrated research and patient centred innovation. The programme brings together experts from across Ireland to strengthen and advance Parkinson’s research through collaboration and shared expertise.

PD- Life is the first all island Parkinson’s disease hub, developed through a strong partnership between Parkinson’s Ireland and Parkinson’s UK. The programme will see €4 million invested over four years, from 2026 to 2030, supporting multidisciplinary collaboration across five universities, including UCC and Queen’s University, and one research performing organisation.
