Sing to Beat Parkinson’s: Training for Practitioners

Sing to Beat Parkinson’s is delighted to announce a one-day training course taking place on Saturday 18 October 2025 at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
This specialist training is designed for singing practitioners, health professionals, carers, and emerging artists who wish to gain valuable experience in leading singing groups for people with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions. Participants will leave with a practical toolkit to set up and run singing sessions that enhance confidence, wellbeing, and social connection.
What to Expect
The course will be led by experts including:
- Nicola Wydenbach – Director of Training
- Yoon Irons – Research Director
- Trish Vella-Burrows – Lead Facilitator and Researcher
- Matt Shipton – Programme Director
The day will include:
- Practical workshops and demonstrations
- Warm-up and song-leading techniques tailored for people with Parkinson’s
- Guidance on adapting activities to suit participants’ needs
- Step-by-step support on setting up and sustaining your own group
