Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors are all volunteers. You can read a little about them on this page.

Our Board of Directors are all volunteers and give their time and expertise freely. The Board meets approximately once per month. The Board are elected each year at our AGM by rotation, and from time-to-time Board members are co-opted.

Ann Foxe – Chairperson

Ann Foxe – Chairperson

Ann was instrumental in setting up the North-West branch over 20 years ago and is the current serving secretary of the North-West branch. She has over 20 years’ experience with PAI and is well-versed in compliance.
Robert Young – Treasurer

Robert Young – Treasurer

Robert joined the Board in August 2021. He has worked in the domestic and cross-border insurance and pensions sector for 33 years. Robert is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has held senior roles in Finance, Risk and Compliance.
Dave Power – Director

Dave Power – Director

Dave joined the Board of the Association in October 21. Dave has been working in IT all his life. He has worked in numerous roles such as developer, solution architect, lead consultant and manager. Currently Dave works with Microsoft as a senior Technology Specialist.Dave became involved with the Parkinsons Association of Ireland through a project we worked in early 2021.Dave is from Dublin and spends his spare time tending to his city centre garden, cooking and taking long walks in the country.
Beccy Cameron

Beccy Cameron

Beccy Cameron joined the Board in November 2021. Beccy has over thirty years’ experience working within the human resource management sector acquired through a wide range of organisations such as financial services, retail, IT, telecommunications, media, accountancy and the public sector in Ireland, the UK and across Europe.Beccy is the Founder/ Director of Robin HR Consultancy, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPD) and a Member of the Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD). Living in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, Beccy is an Iyengar Yoga teacher, daily sea swimmer, avid reader and gardener.

Sinead Colleran- Secretary

Sinead Colleran joined the Board in March 2022. Sinead lived for 10 years in France where she set up her own translation and education services company. Upon returning to Ireland, she commenced work with Community Games where she is now the Operations Manager.Sinead holds a postgraduate certificate in Leadership and Management from NUIG, a postgraduate diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development from TUS. She recently completed the Accelerate course in Management with Sport Ireland. She is a member of the Association of Data Protection Officers of Ireland as a certified Practitioner.Sinead volunteers with her local community in Ballinasloe by designing and maintaining their website and enjoys going to concerts, traveling, and cooking!
Dr Brenda O'Connell

Dr Brenda O'Connell

Dr Brenda O’Connell is a Senior Tutor/occasional lecturer in the English Department at Maynooth University. She has a PhD in Irish Studies and her research interests include gender and sexuality, Irish theatre, motherhood, ageing and Beckett studies.Brenda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, followed by a recurrence in 2020. She was officially diagnosed with Parkinson’s in July 2023.She is very interested in the research element of the condition for future treatments, and she self manages her symptoms, along with the enormous help of Parkinson’s Ireland.
Dr Anhar Hassan

Dr Anhar Hassan

Professor Hassan is a Consultant Neurologist at Beaumont Hospital and Beacon Hospital, and Associate Professor at UCD School of Medicine. She is a medical graduate of Trinity College, and completed neurologic training in Australia and the United States. Prof Hassan was a Consultant Neurologist for 10 years at the Mayo Clinic. Specialist interests are Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, advanced Parkinson's disease treatments (infusional therapies and deep brain stimulation), movement neurophysiology, and botulinum toxin treatment. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and mentored numerous trainees. She is an invited speaker to national and international conferences, and is an advocate for Parkinson's disease education. She is active in the International Movement Disorder Society and International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders, and is a founding member of the Functional Neurological Disease Society.
Caroline McLoughlin

Caroline McLoughlin

Caroline McLoughlin has been involved with the Mayo branch of Parkinson’s Ireland for many years and is currently the Chairperson of the branch. In her role, she has been instrumental in establishing services locally, growing fundraising and in increasing awareness of the condition. She previously cared for her father who had Parkinson’s disease with Lewy Body Dementia. Caroline is also involved in her local community as a member of the community council and is secretary of the Islandeady Development Company CLG.
Aislinn Finnegan

Aislinn Finnegan

Aislinn joined the Board of Parkinson's Ireland in March 2025 and is practicing Barrister at the Bar of Ireland.Aislinn obtained her Law & French Degree from Trinity College Dublin, during which time she studied at the Université de Strasbourg in France. Prior to being called to the Bar, Aislinn worked in Industrial Relations trade union in the healthcare sector, and in employee relations in St Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar, giving Aislinn an in-depth understanding of the Irish healthcare system and the challenges facing patients and professionals.In 2023 Aislinn was appointed to the Preliminary Proceedings Committee of CORU. The Preliminary Proceedings Committee is an investigating committee established under law to consider Fitness to Practise complaints about health and social care professionals.Aislinn has a general practice and has a special interest in the areas of employment equality law including the protections against discrimination on the grounds of disability.
Catriona Kinnevey

Catriona Kinnevey

Catriona joined the Board in January 2026 and brings 20 years of marketing experience. She currently works at LinkedIn, leading marketing and media growth strategy.In July 2024, Catriona was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s disease. Since her diagnosis, she has become a passionate advocate for increasing awareness and understanding of the realities and challenges of living with Early Onset Parkinson’s. Through her social media platform, @parkinsonsgirly, she uses her voice to educate, challenge stigma, and foster connection within the Parkinson’s community.She is deeply committed to advancing awareness, amplifying patient voices, and supporting initiatives that improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s.
