30,000 Nautical Mile Voyage Fundraiser

West Kerry sailor Pat Lawless is preparing to take on the 2026 Golden Globe Race, a gruelling solo, non stop circumnavigation of the world using only traditional navigation methods. After being forced to retire from the 2022 race due to equipment failure while in a strong position, Pat is determined to return and become the first Irish person to complete the challenge.

Pat is also using his remarkable journey to raise €50,000 for Parkinson’s Ireland, inspired by his wife Rita, who is living with Parkinson’s. We are incredibly grateful for Pat’s support and wish him every success as he prepares for this extraordinary adventure.
