PAI emphasises the importance of seeking medical advice from qualified healthcare professionals, including general practitioners (GPs) and specialist consultants such as neurologists and acknowledges the crucial role played by these medical professionals in the provision of optimum care and advice for people living with Parkinson’s Disease.

Ann Foxe, Chairperson of Parkinson’s Association of Ireland stated,

“We encourage anyone living with Parkinson’s Disease to engage in open and honest dialogue with their healthcare providers regarding their treatment plans. By collaborating directly with qualified medical experts, patients can receive tailored and evidence-based treatment approaches that best suit their specific needs.
