The sessions are designed for people with Parkinson’s, these sessions will help strengthen your voice and manage your Parkinson’s in a fun and social way. Simple physical and voice warm-ups, will be followed by some fun and easy songs. No musical ability or experience required!!

Everyone is welcome – a chance to make some new friends around the country.

Piece on Dara

Dara is passionate about the benefits of Singing for Health and Wellbeing. She uses her skills as a choir director, singing teacher and performer, to work with all age groups, supporting people with Parkinsons, dementia, Long Covid and people in the community generally. As a trained Singing for Parkinsons practitioner, she has directed the Move4Parkinsons Wicklow Choir since 2014 and is an expert trainer in Singing for Parkinsons  (e.g.Sing Ireland/Ageing Voices project 2020/21). Other notable projects include the Health and Harmony outreach dementia programme sponsored by the National Concert Hall (performing in nursing homes and community care centres) and online singing sessions for people living with Long Covid, a joint initiative with the UK charity Sing to Beat
