DUBLIN BRANCH

Greetings

Welcome to the Dublin Branch page. We’d like to introduce you to the activities and to the Committee.

We are trying to use a mixture of zoom and in-person activities to facilitate members. Members can attend a zoom Siel Bleu class on Thursdays or attend classes in venues around Dublin. See our posts below for details of times and contacts.

If we record a zoom event we upload it to Youtube, They can be found on the PAI – Parkinson’s Association of Ireland YouTube Channel.

If you would like to learn more about how to use YouTube, Zoom, Facebook or Instagram, please email parkinsons.training@gmail.com to arrange a call with Kieran or Gillian.

PORTMARNOCK/MALAHIDE SUPPORT GROUP

Before Covid, the Portmarnock/Malahide group of the Dublin branch was active with weekly exercise classes and organising social events for PAI members and their carers. The participants were delighted with the opportunity to meet fellow Parkinson members. Much valuable information was shared which improved the quality of life for all. The group resurrected itself with the easing of restrictions and is now meeting again.

Attendance is open to members of the Parkinson’s Association irrespective of address. The group meets in The Arch Club, behind St Anne’s Church in Portrmarnock village at 1.30 pm each Wednesday for one hour for exercise and conversation. Cost is €5.00.

Activities

We try to meet monthly to review progress and plan activities for our members. We recently began a series of social meet-ups in partnership with the YPI Branch on the last Tuesday of each month in a centrally located Dublin Hotel. We aim for a quiet place where the conversation can flow easily. Members and a guest are very welcome.
