We are a charity, based in Dublin, with branches throughout the country. Our aim is to assist those with Parkinson's, and their families and carers, health professionals, interested others, by offering support, a listening ear, and information on any aspect of living with Parkinson's.
Our office is open weekdays, staffed by our CEO Joe Lynch and our Administrative Secretary, Pauline Mahady. We can send you information about Parkinson's (if we don't have it to hand we will either find it for you or refer you on!), treatments, information about your rights and entitlements, exercise classes, meetings.
Our newsletter, "Parkinson's Ireland", is issued three or four times a year, and is sent to all members. Recently revamped, it is colourful, interesting and informative, and, our Editor says, it emphasises hope and positives.
We offer a sympathetic listening ear. If we can help, we will.
Our National Executive Committee is comprised of two representatives from each branch, and we have recently expanded our Board of Directors to enhance our collective abilities to work for the good of all those affected by Parkinson''s. |
