Social Weekend 2011

Over the past number of years the association has endeavoured to facilitate social gatherings for our members each year. The social interaction with other people with Parkinson’s is very important and is recognised in our three year strategic plan. A very important part of this is our annual social weekend. Last year almost two hundred people gathered in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone for a weekend of information, craic and dancing.

This year we are holding our social weekend in the beautiful Ardilaun Hotel, Salthill, Galway, over the weekend of the 14^th to the 16^th of October. The hotel is located along the sea front in Salthill and is an ideal location for our weekend away. The cost of the weekend has been reduced from last year and booking forms along with a full schedule of events will be available in early June for anyone who wishes to join us. Once again we will have some Parkinson’s information updates as well as music, dancing and excellent food. This will be an ideal opportunity for all our members to meet up again and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere in a lovely family run hotel. We will once again offer a range of weekend options to cater for people who only wish to attend the information seminar on the Saturday or stay for the whole weekend.
