Salary Range: €50K - €60k Depending on Experience
Implement, manage and direct all Parkinson’s Association of Ireland operations and services in line with the Strategic Plan. This includes increasing the awareness of Parkinson’s and the PAI, developing organisational and branch structures, increasing the understanding of Parkinson’s amongst healthcare professionals and increasing the resources available to the PAI. Fundraising is a key element of the position.
As a key member of the Association the CEO will report directly to the Chairman of the PAI as the representative of the board and will be expected to work closely with board and its committees. The board operates three committees, “Finance, Remuneration and Audit”, “Communications and Fundraising” and “HR, Governance and Compliance”: the CEO is a designated member of the Finance and Communications committees and attends the HR committee as required.
· Oversee the provision of information on issues which are of interest to people with Parkinson’s
· Manage and develop the helpline support services
· Increase the availability and level of supports to people with Parkinson’s through nurses
· Develop formal and informal collaborative arrangements with statutory, non-statutory and other relevant agencies and institutes to develop initiatives to enhance the long-term service provision to people with Parkinson’s
· Lobby for and secure additional resources to enable the provision of a comprehensive range of services to people with Parkinson’s
· Implement the Strategic Plan in line with guiding principles
· Monitor the implementation of the Strategic Plan on an on-going basis
· Strengthen the organisational and branch structures within PAI
· Develop relationships with, and make submissions to, government departments and agencies with a view to influencing policy in relation to people with Parkinson’s
· Develop network and working relationships with related associations with a view to maximising Parkinsons profile, influence and resources
