Austin Carruth Memorial Pitch & Putt Classic

The inaugural Austin Carruth Memorial Pitch & Putt Classic took place in the Spawell Complex, Dublin on Friday the 19^th of August in aid of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland. Olympic gold medallist, Michael Carruth and his sister Orla are pictured handing over the proceeds from this hugely successful fundraiser, to our Chairman, Pat O'Rourke, in the Drimnagh Boxing club, which was so dear to their father, Austin's heart. The Carruth family also organised a fantastic fun evening of entertainment, music and craic on the Friday night of the classic and Michael tells us, 'We're not finished yet. We have organised an indoor soocer tournament for mid October, which should raise a good few Euro.'
